On July 17th, 2019 Monster Hunter World released a patch that added Nvidia’s DLSS technology. Today we’re going to be looking at the quality to native rendering along with performance scaling of all the DLSS compatible resolutions. DLSS is compatible with every resolution above 1440p but I’ll only be looking at the more “popular” resolutions in that range which are:
- 1440p
- 1620p
- 2160p
There is also a slider for sharpness of the DLSS rendering that has a range of -1 to +1 and I will also show you those at -1, 0 and +1. Along with 1080p native we should have a pretty complete picture of Capcom’s DLSS implementation. For your pixel peeping pleasure please click or tap on any of the images to see the full-sized PNG screenshot.
The DSR images are done by scaling down to 1080p from the DLSS resolution to emulate using DSR for the higher resolution on a 1080p monitor.
